Chocolate chip cookies are easily one of our favorite treats at home.
I wanted a recipe I could make for the kids
something that still feels like a real cookie,
but with slightly better ingredients.

What You’ll Need
🍪 Makes about 28–32 cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 160g butter, melted and slightly cooled / or ghee at room temperature
- 1/2 cup high-quality raw honey
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups + 4 tablespoons white spelt flour
(if using whole spelt flour – use 2 cups only) - 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2/3 teaspoon baking soda
- A generous pinch of salt
- 1-1.5 cups homemade chocolate chips / finely chopped sugar-free chocolate (depending on how chocolatey you like it 😍)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together: butter, honey, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate the dough for about 30-40 minutes
(if making a larger quantity, it may need a bit more time). - Shape the cookies and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden.

If you end up making it
I’d really love to hear how it turned out 🤍
